Suffolk Wildlife Trust needs our help!

Quick post for all you locals out there, Suffolk Wildlife Trust wants to buy Knettishall Heath. They’ve already secured a grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund, but they need to raise £100,000 by the end of January to complete the purchase.

Suffolk Wildlife Trust looks after my local reserve – Redgrave and Lopham Fen, and they do a really fantastic job there.

It would be great to see Knettishall Heath managed as a nature reserve, there’s already so much wonderful wildlife there, and plenty of great walks too.

If you’d like to help them safeguard Knettishall Heath for ever, you can donate here: http://www.justgiving.com/Knettishall

Out and about with my new camera yesterday. Decided to upgrade to the D300s, and I’m really impressed with it. I have to admit I was sorry to see my trusty D200 go, it’s been a real reliable workhorse for me. The D300s is great though, better noise handling and weather proofing, larger LCD screen…

  • Wayland Wood

Visited Wayland Wood in Norfolk for the first time yesterday. The wood at this time of year is filled with birdsong and bluebells, and yesterday, the patter of raindrops on newly unfurled leaves. The dull, damp conditions would have been great for close up photography, but an annoying little breeze made it very difficult. When…
