Festive and New Years greetings to you all!

The holiday season has given me some time to update the galleries with some of my favourite images from 2011. Take a look at ‘Feather‘ and ‘Nature Close Up‘ .

In 2012 I’ll be working on expanding the ‘Fur’ gallery, and I have plenty of other projects in mind too.

Here’s one from this morning on the Fen.

A little on the quiet side today, though plenty of Rabbits, Squirrels and Robins around. The Tit flock seems to have expanded in numbers and the Treecreepers were still with them, but they continued to avoid the camera. The Kestrel put in a brief appearance, hunting then soaring away.

I’m planning plenty of photography for 2012, and I hope I’ll be able to dedicate much more of my time to it than I did last year. You can of course keep up to date on my blog – watch this space!

Happy holidays to you all!

Went to visit the ponies at Redgrave and Lopham Fen again yesterday, although they were so intent on grazing that they didn’t lift their heads to be photographed unfortunately.  I managed a couple of shots of them though. Both of the following shots are slightly cropped from the top, as at the time I included…

Had a day off yesterday, so decided to head up to the coast. Saw my first ever Snow Buntings! Brilliant! We saw the Snow Buntings as soon as we arrived, but they were quite flighty and disappeared for a while as there were a few dogs around. There were already some other photographers around, so…

Well, not had very much time for photography of late due to work, but I’ve been trying to fit it in where I can. The last few evenings I’ve spent some time at the local rabbit warren, not too far from home. It’s a great location to take advantage of the evening light, but I’m…

Had a day off today, so was determined to go out somewhere, despite the dull conditions. Decided to visit Redgrave and Lopham Fen, which is probably my nearest nature reserve. Didn’t see too much, a couple of Muntjac deer, and some Reed Buntings. The hardy Konik ponies are used to graze the fen, helping to…

Change is part of life. Every new day is an opportunity to begin again. The seasons turn, the tides change, the sun rises and sets. We humans assume we can always remain the same, but we are part of nature, and therefore change is inevitable for us too. Something I have discovered only too painfully….
